Recommended Vaccine Schedule

The CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics recommend the following immunization schedule to protect your child at every stage.

Birth

Hepatitis B (HepB) - 1st dose

2 Months

Hepatitis B (HepB) - 2nd dose
DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis) - 1st dose
Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) - 1st dose
Polio (IPV) - 1st dose
Pneumococcal (PCV) - 1st dose
Rotavirus (RV) - 1st dose

4 Months

DTaP - 2nd dose
Hib - 2nd dose
Polio (IPV) - 2nd dose
Pneumococcal (PCV) - 2nd dose
Rotavirus (RV) - 2nd dose

6 Months

Hepatitis B (HepB) - 3rd dose
DTaP - 3rd dose
Hib - 3rd dose (if needed)
Polio (IPV) - 3rd dose
Pneumococcal (PCV) - 3rd dose
Rotavirus (RV) - 3rd dose (if needed)
Influenza (Flu) - yearly starting at 6 months

12-15 Months

Hib - final dose
Pneumococcal (PCV) - final dose
MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 1st dose
Varicella (Chickenpox) - 1st dose
Hepatitis A (HepA) - 1st dose

18 Months

Hepatitis A (HepA) - 2nd dose
DTaP - 4th dose (if not given earlier)

4-6 Years

DTaP - 5th dose
Polio (IPV) - 4th dose
MMR - 2nd dose
Varicella (Chickenpox) - 2nd dose

11-12 Years

Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis booster)
HPV (Human Papillomavirus) - 2-3 doses
Meningococcal (MenACWY) - 1st dose

16 Years

Meningococcal (MenACWY) - booster dose
